Jim Pekny

Jim is a San Diego native who moved to Tucson in 1994 with his family. He was married to Laura, who is now with the Lord, and they have four grown children and eight grandchildren, plus Jimmy their Toy Maltese. Jim has an undergraduate and graduate degree in business from the University of Phoenix and recently retired from Raytheon after 39 years. He currently teaches Lean Manufacturing at the University of Arizona and previously taught business, management, and leadership courses at the University of Phoenix for 15 years in the evenings. Jim has been a member of the Heat Optimist Club for over 25 years, which is a civic club supporting the youth in the Vail School District. As the Ministry Director for Oasis Church, Jim manages the Oasis staff and has responsibilities for integration and execution for the church. Jim enjoys serving the church, community, and time spent with his family, as well as golfing. He is also a home church co-leader with his son Ed and serving as a director on the Oasis board.
